Nestled in the serene County of Barrhead, Alberta, Lakeview was a cherished family home and property that has evolved into one of the premier wedding & event spaces just North of Edmonton.
From 2015–2019, the Day family hosted obstacle races, drawing thousands of participants and spectators. The property became known as “The Boneyard” for its challenging trails and strong community spirit, attracting over 10,000 people to race through the 160 acres of land. Unfortunately, the momentum was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic, but it had already laid a strong foundation for the next phase of the property’s transformation.
In 2020, as the world adjusted to the challenges of the pandemic, the property became a safe and welcoming space for couples seeking a beautiful open-air venue to get married, with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding natural beauty.
Lakeview offers a 3,200-square-foot lodge with floor-to-ceiling windows, a peaceful waterfront, and 160 acres of stunning trails and open fields.
In 2025, five cozy themed cabins were added to the property, expanding the overnight accommodations and creating even more opportunities for guests to enjoy the Lakeview experience.
Today, Lakeview Lodge can host events for up to 150 guests, with overnight accommodations available across the lodge, cabins, and additional onsite options. Guests can stay in the main lodge’s four themed rooms, relax in one of the cozy all-season cabins, or enjoy glamping, the holiday trailer or you can bring your own tent or RV.
Weekend-long rentals provide exclusive access to the property for multi-day celebrations, giving guests time to fully enjoy the lake, trails, and beautiful natural surroundings.
With its picturesque setting and expansive grounds, Lakeview is an ideal location for weddings, family reunions, corporate retreats, music festivals, and other special occasions.
